WHAT IS FUTURES FORESIGHT AND WHY DO WE NEED IT?
In an increasingly VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world organisations need to be constantly adapting to a range of potential future trends or risk market failure.

Many of these future trends are deeply misunderstood and organisations struggle to make them relevant to their systems of work let alone adapt their organisations to be ready for the impact of them.
Strategic foresight is a planning-oriented discipline related to futures studies and focused on informing and shaping strategic decision-making, guiding policy, or exploring new markets, products, and services.

It is a set of techniques designed to improve organisational future-readiness and inform decision-making. It is not a way to predict the future, but a way to uncover the perspectives of many different futures to facilitate decisions based on that knowledge today.
